Abandoned Photography

Nebo Schoolhouse

Nebo Schoolhouse

It was a cold and very windy day. The unsettling sounds of chains hitting a metal post in the wind added to the ambience of this abandoned schoolhouse. Now… this isn’t the most photographic abandoned place I’ve ever shot. But it’s what I found inside that got me really excited. Now if only I could block out those sounds of CHAINS HITTING A METAL POST!!!!!!!

Anyway… I made my way cautiously through the front door, taking photos, while watching every step I make. Carefully, I maneuvered my way through the hall, down the narrow set of stairs, and into the basement. It’s there that I found some of the school’s history and most exciting finds. Books, papers, receipts, and a revealing look at a teacher’s salary from 1960. It’s hard to imagine that for over 50 years, some of these things are still here. Oh yeah… and did I mention the sounds of CHAINS HITTING A METAL POST!!!
