Horsebox Whiskey Photo Shoot

Horsebox Whiskey

Happy St. Patrick’s Day horsebox! Well, what I actually meant was, Happy St. Patrick’s Day friends! Ya see, Horsebox is Celtic slang for friends. For this photo shoot, I reached out to my horsebox, I mean… my friends over at Frankfort Spirits. And they hooked me up with a bottle of their latest creation called Horsebox Whiskey. It’s uniquely distilled with raw ingredients found in Hold Your Horses beer from 350 Brewing Company in Tinley Park, IL.

Photographing this unique perspective was quite challenging. A lot of planning had to go into what seems like a simple shot. Everything from mounting the bottle, to lighting, to how I was going to do the pour. I though for sure, this was going to be the messiest photo shoot I’ve done so far. But, it actually was the cleanest. So bottoms up horsebox! (See what I did there??? It’s a photo of the bottom of the glass… oh never mind) And remember to please drink responsibly on this Irish holiday!

Here are some of the outtakes from the shoot. I tried a couple of different glasses too. And of course… a behind the scenes video! Enjoy!

Steve, unbelievable job! Who would have ever thought 30 years ago sitting in art class that one day we would be collaborating like this. Thanks so much. You literally put us in the best light!
