The November 2016 supermoon is the largest full moon since 1948. Sure, there have been other supermoons. But what makes this one so special is the fact that it’s been almost 70 years since it’s been this close to earth. If you missed it, you’ll have another chance in 2034. Who knows… maybe by then we’ll be living on it. Then we will be saying, “Make sure you catch the Super earth!” (Eye roll) (insert rim shot here) (I’ll be here all week)
Anyway… I spent some time on Saturday scouting different locations to capture the Denver supermoon. But I just wasn’t happy with the angle I was getting being up in the foothills. The skyline was getting lost in the horizon. So I came back down. And with permission from a local parking garage, I got my shot on Sunday. Along with 4 other photographs that had the same idea. Ha! The shot you see here is taken from the time-lapse I took. If you look closely, you can see Southwest flight #755 is right on time! 🙂
